Delizie Italiane‘s mission is to make Delicious Handmade Italian Food that puts a smile on people’s faces!
My passion and interest in delicious food is a family tradition.
My Italian family has, for generations, owned a “Bar”, a typical Italian type of cafe which sells, coffee, handmade ice cream, savoury food like pizzas, calzone and arancini and also patisserie including biscuits cakes and confectionery.
As a child I grow up in my grandparent’s house which was attached to the family business - Bar Del Popolo - which translates into “Cafe of the people.”
That passion for creating and serving the local community with handmade, fresh food was an important part of my childhood and it given me the inspiration to run “Delizie Italiane”.
All the recipes I use are passed on to me by my father, Vito Causo, a talented pastry chef who has travelled all over Italy to learn traditional local recipes from the different Italian regions.
